Hobby Progress 19 (I)

I was debating over making this post or not. As I don’t have anything to show yet. But as you’re reading this, you know I decided to make the post anyway.

The reason being that I should get back in the habit of writing posts. And even if I can’t show anything, it’s not because I haven’t been doing any hobby.

I’ve been doing a lot of building.

I’m playing with the League of Rhordia at the local Kings of War league. So lots of building humans, and a few halflings. There’ll be more halflings, but they’re on their way. Now I have a playable 2000 points army, with some proxys and ogre allies. The goal is to have a pure LoR army, with more halflings. But I’m waiting for 3 Kickstarters to get all the models I want.

So there’ll be some more KoW building in the future.

Early March we’ll start with the Age of Sigmar league. My initial plan was to play with the Nightahunts, so I was building a Nighthaunt army.

But I have a very big problem with fantasy. I LOVE fantasy. So I like 99.99% of the fantasy armies.

And the recent release of the Skaven Battletome and boxset had me thinking about them. The league is only to 1250 points, and I have the Island of Blood Skaven, which are too few for a KoW Ratkin army, but for AoS…

So I was building Nighthaunts before I switched to building rats.

Then the Kickstarter for The Other Side arrived in January. The good thing about it is that you don’t need to build the minis. You only need to glue them to their base and you’re ready to play!

So I “built” a 1 Commander army and I’ve been playing ToS. And I’m enjoying it quite a lot! We tested it on a Thursday. And next Friday morning my buddy was asking me if we could play another game that night. And it hasn’t been the last.

I’ve been painting too, but I haven’t finished anything. I’ve got a few painting projects half done, so I hope to finish some of them soonish.
