Legends of Signum on Kickstarter

Legends of Signum is currently on Kickstarter with the Battle for Vallor Starter Set. It seems to be a very interesting game, mixing traditional wargame elements with deckbuilding.

I must say I find this kind of hybrid mechanics very appealing after having played Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire.

The fact that the deckbuiling part is a CCG with random card boosters is the only thing I don’t like about the concept. But the starter comes with fixed decks, which is perfectly fine for the more friendly games I intend to play.

I can’t talk much about the rules, as I haven’t played the game yet. But if you want to check them out, you can download them from their Kickstarter.

What I can talk about is the quality of their miniatures. I randomly found their webstore, and ordered some of the miniatures just because they’re awesome. That’s how I found about the game and, at the time, upcoming Kickstarter.

The sculpts are superb. With a slightly cartoony twist, very reminiscent of the french style of the old Rackham. You’ll even find some Wolfen amongst the characters of the game. And some very interesting designs, like an anthropomorphic reindeer or a knight on a “chocobo”.

These two were a couple of the minis I bought, and the casting is superb. There are a few mold lines, but not many. And the details are very crisp. And super easy to build.

So, if you’re a backer wondering about the quality of the minis, I can assure you that they’re high quality miniatures. And if you didn’t know about the game, I invite you to check it out.
